Explore Slovene Museum of Christianity

The publication focuses on six of the oldest preserved urbaria (land registers) describing the lands of the Stična monastery in the 16th century. These records date to 1505, 1544, 1558, 1572, 1574 and 1575 and are today kept in the Slovene Museum of Christianity, the Archive of the republic of Slovenia and the Stična Monastery Archive. The publication provide us a precise image of the feudal tributes that were to be paid to the monastery and the lands owned by Stična. The publication is equipped with a table which shows the overview of Stična urbarias from 16th century.
