Colored windows represent an integral decorative part of the sacral interior. In the Middle Ages, they wanted to show God's presence in the consecrated space during the liturgical ceremony with light through the painted windows. Due to natural disasters, Turkish invasions, wars and vandalism, this fragile material was first damaged and often destroyed on buildings. That is why the rare remains of Gothic windows in Slovenia are all the more important and valued.
